Spaying and Neutering

Spaying and neutering your pets, believe it or not, could save the lives of many animals.  Each year, thousands of unwanted cats and dogs are euthanized in shelters, simply because they cannot be adopted.  Others are abandoned and left to fend for themselves, sometimes even becoming a nuisance. Those that are lucky enough to be placed in a home also face the risk of abuse, especially those that are simply given without proper assessment of the adopters. Spaying and neutering pets can also greatly decrease hormonal behavior, and increase the animal's life span.  Everyone wants a litter of adorable puppies, kittens, etc., but before you decide to breed your pet, think of how its offspring will play into the pet overpopulation problem.  By avoiding breeding your pet (unless you are a professional breeder), you could be saving thousands of lives in the future.
